Our December student of the month, Paula, hails from Permenter Middle School in Cedar Hill, ISD. Paula has accomplished a lot in her 8th grade year, including:

• Leading a team of students to interview the Founder and Executive Director of Education Opens Doors, and writing the questions that the students asked during the interview
• Helping her classmates design their resumes
• Representing her high school at the CHISD Extravaganza and showcasing Roadmap to Success

Paula has big plans for her future. Check out her interview below! 

What do you plan to do after high school? 

After high school, I plan on going to college and majoring in psychology.

What college do you want to go to?

University of Texas, Austin or Texas A&M University

What kind of job would you like to have in the future?

I would like to have a job revolving around psychology.

What is your favorite Roadmap to Success lesson and why?

My favorite lesson is found in Unit 2 titled “Types of High Schools” because it shows me that there’s not only many options for college but also high school.

What is the most important thing you have learned from Roadmap to Success?

In both high school and college there is a large variety of options to choose from.
