Holiday 2014 was the very first time Education Opens Doors partnered with the Dallas CityScape exhibit to raise support for the Roadmap to Success Program and increase awareness of the importance of college knowledge to be taught during the academic school day. We are proud to announce that the Dallas CityScape exhibit raised a total of $62,794 to further the work of Education Opens Doors and expand the Roadmap to Success Program for the 2015-2016 School Year.
Over the course of the exhibit, nearly 4,000 individuals visited the venue and marveled at the tiny architectural wonders featured at Dallas CityScape. These visitors also constructed their own Lego masterpieces, and participated in an interactive College Knowledge Trivia Game, which utilized little-known facts regarding college admissions, provided by Education Opens Doors. Not only did the exhibit provide a fun, family-friendly space for children and adults to play, but also engaged a totally new audience for Education Opens Doors to share our message of empowerment and college access. Furthermore, over 120 volunteers also engaged with the exhibit and showed their support of the mission of Education Opens Doors. View our Facebook photo album for pictures from the exhibit.
